KNUDSEN is pleased to announce a 2-year contract award from the Canadian Dept. of National Defence for supply of ruggedized echosounders to replace the dry end portion of the deep and shallow echosounders currently fitted onboard Canada's Victoria Class Submarine Fleet. Additionally, the contract will include installation in the trainer at the Tactical Weapons System Training Facility in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Each deliverable set includes recorders, remote displays, associated switches and ancillary dry end equipment. This order comes on the heels of recent sales of the KNUDSEN 320N Fathometer to the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, and U.S. Foreign Military Sales.
The 320N Fathometer - now officially dubbed as the AN/UQN-10 by the U.S. Navy - is COTS equipment designed to meet critical low cost retrofit requirements, as well as the next generation choice for new ship builds. Designed and built in Canada by Canadians, the company looks forward to seeing their efforts at work in Canada.
