2007 Was a Booming Year for Knudsen Engineering

December 12th, 2007

“The introduction of the company’s next generation of products – the Sounder Series and Chirp Series – has kept the company running on all cylinders” announced Judith Knudsen, V.P. Sales/Operations.

“We are excited that the significant development effort on these two new product lines is starting to show results and the marketplace is responding” reported Judith. “With the introduction of a new higher speed processor and USB system connectivity, customers will be investing in modern technology tools for the years ahead.”

Noteworthy volume sales to repeat customers have included delivery of nine Sounder 1600 systems – including six quad-channel units – to the Canadian Hydrographic Service. Upgrade to the new Chirp 3260 deep water unit – which replaces the 320BR – has also been put in place with delivery of 9 units to UNOLS Research Vessel Organization and 2 further systems to NOAA for installation on Ships Nancy Foster and Okeanos Explorer.
